Festive Season – 2024

The club will be taking its annual break over the Festive Season.

The final classes for 2024 will take place on Thursday 19 December at Nunnery Wood Sports complex.

The first Classes for 2025 will take place on Thursday 2 January at Nunnery Wood Sports Complex.

2024 has been a fantastic year for the club and 2025 will be even better with some of our students on the cusp of the first step….

A big thanks to all of our students for your support and effort in 2024.

In the words of the late Kato Shihan the club wishes all of our students a very Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year.

80th D-Day Anniversary Celebrations

On a recent trip to France in June to witness the 80th D-Day Anniversary celebrations in Normandy, our Chief Instructor Steve Cameron took the opportunity to visit Ouistreham Shotokan Karate Club within walking distance of his accommodation.
 
After introducing himself to Abdou, the 5th Dan Club Chief Instructor, Steve was invited and given the privilege of taking the class to teach Junro Shodan, spreading the word about IJKA and the other kata.
 
Solid proof that quality karate is a universal language as Steve’s French is extremely limited.
Steve extends posthumous thanks to his late Sensei, Kato Shihan, for teaching him well.
