Due to school exams at Nunnery Wood Sixth Form College there are forthcoming changes to our normal Thursday class schedules.
Thursday classes will take place at our other dojo St. Martin’s Church Hall on the following dates.
Dates ~
May 17th, 24th and 31st
June 7th and 14th
Please note that there are also temporary changes to our usual class times on the above dates ~
Times ~
7:15pm ~ 8:15pm » Beginners and intermediates (to 6th Kyu ~ green belt)
8:15pm ~ 9:15pm » Seniors (5th Kyu ~ purple belt and above)
Thursday classes at Nunnery Wood Sports Centre resume on 21st June 2018 at the normal times shown on the Classes page.

On Saturday 17th March 2018 West Midlands Karate Academy held a grading with Sensei Ron Bellwood 7th Dan IJKA.
A grading training course kicked off the day with Steve Cameron 4th Dan IJKA taking the students through Kihon routines.
Kata practice was then taken by Ron Bellwood 7th Dan IJKA, Steve Cameron 4th Dan IJKA and Kevin Bellwood 3rd Dan IJKA.
Three Worcester IJKA students successfully graded.
The club congratulates Billy (4th Kyu) and Francis and Kirsty who double graded (9th Kyu).
The club looks forward to their further progress.

On 2nd December Alsager Karate Club hosted a free seminar at their honbu dojo.
Instruction in Kihon, Kumite and Kata was given by Sensei Keith Crighton, Billy Thomson and Peter Custance respectively, who are all IJKA 7th Dans.
Cameron Sensei attended along with 1st Kyus, Iben and Kevin who train at Worcester Shotokan Karate Club when they can.
Nijushiho was the choosen kata of the day.
Great instruction followed by a great evening out at a local hostelry.
A big thank you to Sensei Mark Watts of Alsager karate club for organising the event.
